PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile electronic device the knob of which is easily operated at a dark place, is less accidentally turned and less damaged. SOLUTION: In the mobile electronic device of this invention, part of a cylindrical section 5c of the knob 5 is exposed from a hole 1d of a side face wall 1b of a case 1, an illumination means 6 is placed on a printed circuit board 4 on which a rotary electric component 3 is mounted and the illumination means 6 lights up a transparent section 5b of the knob 5. Thus, this invention provides the small-sized mobile electronic device whose knob 5 can easily be operated at a dark place.
