The wing structure consists of upper (5) and lower (6) wings which have their roots (8, 10) fixed to the fuselage at points offset along its axis so that the upper wing roots lie ahead of the lower ones. The upper wings are swept back and the lower ones swept forward so that their tips overlap in the vertical plane and are joined by connectors (7) allowing a degree of flexure. The outer ends of the upper and/or lower wings have ailerons, and the structure has a system for damping deformations.
