PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide irregular toner having narrow distribution of grain size of toner particles and to provide a method for easily manufacturing the toner and a developing device using that toner. SOLUTION: In the toner particles having the average particles size d (wherein d ranges 4 to 15 μm), the proportion of particles having the particle diameter within the range of d±0. 2d, calculated in terms of volume to the toner is >=90%, and the specific surface area of the toner per 1 cm3 A (m2/g) measured by BET method, and the specific gravity D (g/cm3) satisfy the relation of 7/(D.d)<=A<=10/(D.d). By the method, the grain size distribution of toner particles can be narrowed and the resolution of the image is improved, and toner having >=10 μC/g electrification is obtained with extremely narrow distribution. Thus, high definition of images can be obtained. |
