PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming device capable of easily managing every kind of paper set on a paper supply cassette and effectively preventing image formation using unintended paper or the theft of the paper. SOLUTION: First, '0' showing that lock cannot be released is substituted in flags L1 and L2 (S1), whether a code number has been already set is decided (S2), and a manager sets the code number, when the code number is not set (S3). The code number can be set plurally, and lock releasing information is set for every code number. When it is found that the code number has been already set, the device is kept to wait for user's inputting the code number. When the user inputs the code number (S4), whether the inputted code number matches with the registered one is decided (S5). When they match, the lock- releasing information S1 and S2 corresponding to the code number are read in and are substituted in the L1 and L2 (S6). |
