PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem, where, in the case of a plasma display panel(PDP) using silver (Ag) electrode, for instance, on the first and second electrodes, Ag in the electrode diffuses in substrate glass or dielectrics in a form of Ag ions in the process of baking the Ag electrode or dielectric glass layer, to cause marked deteriorating of the image quality of the panel. SOLUTION: The PDP is composed of a front cover plate disposed with the first electrode and a dielectric glass layer covering the first electrode, and a back plate disposed with the second electrode, a dielectric glass layer and a fluorescent layer which face each. Such dielectric glass layers are formed on the first electrode using fine glass with a mean grain size of 0.1μm-1.5μm and the largest grain size of not larger than 3 times the mean particle size for the upper dielectric glass layer and glass having a mean particle size larger than that in the upper for the lower dielectric glass layer.
