PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an applicable data processing system for connecting to a universal serial bus(USB) device. SOLUTION: When the USB device is inserted, even when the USB device is not a 'bulk storage' really, the USB device is enumerated as 'bulk storage' (or arbitrary device capable of inputting). The USB device agent is provided inside a storage device on the USB device in the form of an executable file. After the device is enumerated as 'bulk storage' for the first time, a user selects that 'bulk storage' and executes the suitable executable file containing the agent. Next, the agent itself is installed on the hard file of a host and afterwards can be functioned together with the other compatible USB device. The agent can instructs it to the compatible device that device can be really enumerated again. Besides, the agent can use an extended host/device interaction, extended device functionability and diagnosis as well.
