PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the surface acoustic wave element of a high frequency, high performance and high stability and to provide the forming method. SOLUTION: A layer 33 constituted of crystal, a layer 32 constituted of a piezoelectric material different from crystal, a layer 31 constituted of a non- piezoelectric material and electrodes 34 are laminated. At least one of the layers is formed by connection. Connection onto the electrodes 34 is performed after a material similar to a material to be connected is previously deposited on the electrodes by the film thickness of not less than the thickness of the electrode. A connection temperature is set to be not more than the phase transfer temperature of crystal.
