PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk clamping mechanism which is simple in structure and with which an always stable clamping effect may be assured. SOLUTION: A disk loading surface (2a) of a turntable (2) fixed to a shaft (1) of the disk clamping mechanism for fixing a recording disk (4) by placing the recording disk on the turntable and holding down the recording disk by means of a clamper (8) from above is provided with an annular groove 10 formed with a step part (10c) constituted by forming the inner diameter near the bottom smaller than in an upper part (10a) and the bottom (10b). An annular back yoke (11) formed with the inner diameter slightly larger than the inner diameter of the upper part of the annular groove and an annular magnet (7) are successively laminated within the annular groove.
