The invention relates to a device for measuring fluid density based on the pressure difference formed in the fluid column. The device comprises a differential pressure transducer (5) mounted on a cylindrical tube (1) which contains a standard fluid (2) and has some resilient separating membranes (3, 3'), said membrane (3) being positioned at a distance "h" apart from the pressure transducer (5), said distance being variable depending on the standard fluid expansion coefficient. The standard fluid density is known in value and variation and may be constant or may have a variation similar to that of the fluid to be measured. Determining the density of the fluid to be measured is performed depending on the measured pressure difference and the standard fluid density.
