STTD ENCODING METHOD AND DIVERSITY TRANSMITTER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the circuit scale of an STTD encoding system at a base station of CDMA communication. SOLUTION: An inverse STTD encoder 102 performs the inverse encoding about a pilot signal that is inhibited from performing the STTD encoding. Then, a multiplexer 110 performs time multiplexing of the pilot signal with transmission data or control information on TPC, TFCI, etc., for composing a transmission frame. An STTD encoder 112 performs the STTD encoding to all data included in the transmission frame. Thus, it is not necessary to identify the data in STTD encoding mode as long as the inverse encoding is performed before the transmission frame is composed.
