PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing machine in which improvement of fixing quality is achieved by generating no differential in control immediately after reloading. SOLUTION: In the machine, a starting number of pieces for CPM down control N1 and a compensated starting number of pieces for CPM down control N2 are determined beforehand, according to the type and the size of the paper. When copying action is started from a standby state, the paper size and the type of the paper are detected and the starting number of pieces for CPM down control N1 is determined, a temperature T of the fixing roll at the starting of the passing of the paper is detected and the compensated starting number of pieces for CPM down control N2 is determined, the number of pieces N continuously passed is counted and the fixing ability is secured by varying the passed number of pieces, when the CPM down control is started according to that number of pieces. |
