PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an opening and closing mechanism for front panel with which the space in the depth direction of the electronic apparatus is used effectively with a comparatively simple constitution. SOLUTION: When changing a control panel 24 into an open state, a moving member 68 moves in the direction of an arrow J by a motor 40. With movement of the moving member 68, the upper end of the control panel 24 rotates around an axial pin 32, and moves downward (the direction opposite to an arrow A). Thus, the control panel 24 is in the open state. Here, the space in the depth direction of a minicomponent necessary for opening/closing the control panel 24 can be minimized because the moving member 68 is formed to be curved. For this reason, as compared with the case provided with a moving member formed linearly as conventional, the space in the depth direction can be used effectively and the parts, such as a transformer, a board, and a heat sink, can be placed in such a space.
