PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup device, an image pickup method and a recording medium by which image blurring can be corrected optimally optimum and quick image and speedily at the time of still image photographing and also at the time of moving image photographing with a simple configuration. SOLUTION: This image pickup device is provided with a hand shake detection part 11 for detecting the band shake of the image pickup device, a still image mode correction amount computing part 13 for computing the image shake correction amount of a still image photographing mode based on the hand shake detected in the hand shake detection part 11, a moving image mode correction amount computing part 14 for computing the image shake correction amount of a moving image photographing mode based on the hand shake detected in the hand shake detection part 11, a photographing mode selection part 10 for selecting either still image photographing mode or moving image photographing mode and an image shake correction part 12 for correcting the image shake based on the selected result oft the photographing mode selection part 10 and the image shake correction amount computed in the still image mode correction amount computing part 13 or the image shake correction amount computed in the moving image mode correction amount computing part 14.
