PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the shifting of a height-adjusted magnetic head from the adjusted position with time, regarding a rotary head drum device provided with an adjusting mechanism for adjusting the height of the magnetic head. SOLUTION: This rotary head drum device is provided with a magnetic head 24 disposed in a head base 30, a rotary drum 22 for rotating the magnetic head 24 at a specified revolving speed by fixing the head base 30 with a head fixing screw 31, and a sifting screw 33 provided in the rotary drum 22 so as to be adjustable for a progression degree and so as to adjust the height of the magnetic head 24 by pressing the head base 30. By moving a head height adjusting spacer 46A with respect to the head base 30, the head height of the magnetic head 24 relative to the rotary drum is adjusted.
