PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rigid container of a sodium-sulfur battery which can absorb an impact and compression force on a single battery bottom at the time of falling a module battery. SOLUTION: This is the rigid container 20 to house an anode container 1 of the sodium-sulfur battery to restrict an elongation to the vertical direction due to a thermal expansion of anode container 1, wherein an impact absorbing structure is made to have in the bottom.
