PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a remote controller having good operability. SOLUTION: This remote controller is equipped with an ID code setting means 3 which sets an ID code and a memory means 10 which stores the ID code and sends the ID code to a reception device. When the ID code is not stored in the memory means 10, remote control operation is not carried out. This remote controller is further equipped with an ID initial value setting means 12, and a specific ID initial value is previously stored in the memory means 10.
