PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processing method for a silver halide photographic sensitive material for an image setter in which high contrast and superior running characteristics are ensured and rapid processing and processing under low replenishment can be carried out in processing with a developing solution not substantially containing hydroquinone. SOLUTION: In the processing method for a silver halide photographic sensitive material, a silver halide photographic sensitive material containing a compound of formula (I) in a silver halide emulsion layer or a non-photosensitive hydrophilic colloidal layer is processed with a developing solution not substantially containing hydroquinone and containing a compound of formula (A) as a developing agent.
