PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new heat developable photosensitive material having good photographic performances such as sensitivity and fog and whose color tone can be regulated in an arbitrary wavelength range. SOLUTION: The heat developable photosensitive material has at least (a) photosensitive silver halide, (b) a reducible silver salt, (c) a reducing compound of formula (1) (where V1-V4 are each H or a substitutent and V5 is optionally substituted alkyl, aryl or a heterocyclic group) or the formula Q1-NHNH-V6 (2) (where Q1 is a 5- to 7-membered unsaturated ring bonding to NHNH-V through C and V6 is carbamoyl, acyl, alkoxycarbonyl, aryloxycarbonyl, sulfonyl or sulfamoyl), (d) a binder, (e) a coupler compound and (f) a phthalazin compound of formula (3) on the same face of the base.
