PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sound insulator which insulates a sound in an arbitrary direction over a wide area under high hydraulic pressure and a transmitter receiver which has sound insulation in the arbitrary direction and is made nondirectional in other directions. SOLUTION: Effective sound insulation effect is obtained when the shape coefficientμof a 1st sound insulator 5 is >2 and the length L of 1st and 2nd sound insulators 5 and 6 and the thickness (t) of the sound insulators are >=4 times and <=1/10 time as large as the sound wavelength of a medium at the sound insulation frequency. The sound insulation effect is obtained in proportion to the length (l) of a 3rd sound insulator.
