PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nickel-hydrogen storage battery with a large battery capacity and a long recycle life. SOLUTION: This nickel-hydrogen storage battery is equipped with the followings; non-sintered nickel electrode having nickel hydroxide as a positive electrode active substance containing as least one kind of element Q as a solid solution element selected from the group composed of Mn, Al, Y, Yb and Co; a paste hydrogen storage alloy electrode having hydrogen storage alloy as a negative electrode active substance expressed in a composition formula: TiaVb- Nic Md[in the formula, a+b+c=100, 15<=a<=45, 35<=b<=75, 5<=c<=25, 0<d<=7, M is at least one kind of element selected from Cr, Mn, Mo, Nb, Ta, W, La, Ce, Y, Mm, Co, Fe, Cu, Si, Al, B, Zr and Hf]. The volume ratio of the non- sintered nickel electrode and that of the paste hydrogen storage alloy electrode is 1:1.1 to 1:1.8. |
