PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing method and an image forming device by which an image defect, such as thinning of an image or the faintness of a thin line, is not caused, sufficient image density is provided, and the reproduction of the thin line or the uniform reproduction of a small-diameter dot can be realized and which is superior in resolution. SOLUTION: In this developing method, at least an electrostatic charge latent image carrier (A) and a developer carrier (B), carrying a developer consisting of a carrier component and a toner component, having magnetism are provided opposed to each other, and the toner component is developed on the image carrier (A) while relatively moving the surface of the image carrier (A) and the surface of the developer carrier (B) at a different speed, and development is performed under a condition satisfying the necessary conditions of the expressions (1).
