PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem where the conventional phone with a number display function has required troublesome operations for registration of a name corresponding to a telephone number, in order to display a called party in place of the telephone number. SOLUTION: The commutation terminal 1 of this invention transmits attached information, such as telephone numbers, names and mail addresses stored in a RAM 5 to the communication unit 2 of this invention. The communication unit 2 stores and updates the received information to a RAM 6 to save the trouble of registering the telephone numbers. When the telephone numbers or the like are updated, the communication terminal 1 transmits the information to the communication unit 2, only when the information is updated to reduce the commutation time.
