PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underwater escape training device which enables a trainee to carry out escape training in case a vehicle, such as aircraft or automobile, alights forcibly on the water, is simple in structure, small in size and light in weight and allows the easy escape training without requiring ancillary equipment. SOLUTION: This device has a simulated fuselage 1 which is formed by simulating part of a vehicle for training, has a seat 10 to be sit with the trainee sits on an interior floor plate 9 and has an aperture 8 for escape in at least one side wall section, buoyancy materials 2 which are mounted on the under surface side of the floor plate 9 of the simulated fuselage 1, spring fittings 3 which are disposed at the upper edges in the longitudinal direction of the mimic fuselage 1 and are used to hung the simulated fuselage 1 and hanging means 4 which are connected to the spring fittings 3 and hang the simulated fuselage 1. The simulated fuselage 1 is constituted to be submerged into a training water surface by the positional relation between the own weight of the simulated fuselage 1 and the buoyancy acting on the buoyancy materials 2. As a result, the escape training device which is simple in structure, small in size and light in weight and allows the easy escape training without requiring the ancillary equipment may be obtained.
