PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a testing method for the installation of an overcurrent alarm device, which enables simple testing without need for any electrical equipment specially prepared only for checking operation or any burdensome work, such as looking for an outlet. SOLUTION: When the overcurrent alarm device detects a miniscule current value, for example, a current not less than 1 A, for a certain period of time, for example, one minute, after application of power, regardless of a set current at which an alarm is outputted in ordinary state, its CPU multiplies the detected current by a factor of tens and recognizes it as a value not less than the set current and outputs an alarm. If a detected current is smaller than 1 A, an alarm is not outputted. When one minute has passed after application of power, the alarm device returns to ordinary state in which an alarm is outputted at detection of a current not less than an ordinary set value of current. |
