PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a user from feeling disadvantage resulting from a waiting time and to gives the user an incentive to buy more by not eliminating physical congestion at a cash register, but giving the incentive according to the wait time when the cash register where articles are paid for in a convenience store, etc., is congested. SOLUTION: The wait time of the user is calculated from the time when the user begins to form a line at a register counter to pay for articles to be purchased and the time when money is paid at the register counter and an incentive to having a discount corresponding to the wait time is given. Consequently, a cash register system is actualized which makes users less feel discontent in the case of congestion and gives customers high satisfaction.
