PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing a seedling pot by using rice hull is provided to simplify transplantation process of the seedling and promote the growth of plant. CONSTITUTION: The method includes the following steps of: (i) mixing 25-65wt% of rice hull with 25-35wt% of chitosan, 2-20wt% of powdered stone, 2-10wt% of calcium carbonate, 5-15wt% of a high polymer adhesive mixed with an organic solvent and 5-15wt% of rice glue; (ii) putting the mixture in a frame and forming the mixture into a shape of pot by compressing the mixture under the pressure of 1-20kg/cm2; (iii) dehydrating the formed pot at 40-70deg.C and separating the pot from the frame; and then (iv) coating the resulting pot with a chitosan solution and neutralizing with NaHCO3 to prevent the chitosan element from being melt in water. |
