The mixture forming process forms mixture in the combustion chamber (2) of a direct-injection engine with an injection jet (1) which has a closing body (10) and via which the fuel is supplied to the combustion chamber in at least two partial amounts. The closing body can be moved to its closed position after the injection of each partial amount.
