PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely and surely save timbre data while keeping high quality sound when the timbre data set in an electronic percussion instrument or the like are saved a non-volatile storage medium. SOLUTION: With setting operation of timbre data on a panel switch, contents of RAM 28 are transferred to flash memory 26. Here, since the flash memory 26 is provided with two blocks and the timbre data are alternately transferred to these blocks, even if the timbre data in one block are lost, the timbre data before that are maintained. Moreover, when a performance even starts on a play keyboard 2, the timbre transfer is interrupted, therefore, high quality tone can be maintained. |
