PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To draw out a next ticket in fast timing when a ticket is carried with its magnetic recording layer turned downward and also to shorten the total processing time of an automatic ticket examination device since the tickets are usually carried with their magnetic recording layers turned downward. SOLUTION: This automatic ticket examination device draws out the next ticket after the ticket is inverted when the magnetic information on the ticket is read by a reading head that reads the tickets with their magnetic recording layers turned upward and then draws out the next ticket after its magnetic information is read when this information is read by a reading head that reads the tickets with their magnetic recording layers turned downward respectively.
