PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a file deletion device and a recording medium in which a file deletion program is recorded capable of setting a period up to an unrequired file is deleted, facilitating the management of a storage device and efficiently utilizing the storage device. SOLUTION: This file deletion device for deleting a file recorded in a storage means is provided with storage means S1-S3 for storing supplied file separately for each preservation period and a deletion means S4 for retrieving the file whose elapsed time after being stored exceeds the preservation period and deleting the file from the storage means.
