PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat developable photosensitive material which has high sensitivity, hardly causes fogging, suppresses fogging and a sensitivity change in storage, suppresses a fog density change color tone deterioration particularly due to printout, is excellent in stability to a fog density change due to a change in developing conditions and has good image stability after printout, a method for preparing a photosensitive emulsion and an image forming method using the photosensitive material. SOLUTION: The heat developable photosensitive material has a photosensitive layer containing at least an organic silver salt, silver halide, a reducing agent and a compound having a polyalkylene glycol component on the base.
