The mobile crane (1) chassis has a bottom carriage (2) on which is a top carriage (3) with a counterweight and a jib-arm (7) swivel mounted on a vertical axis. Sets of wheels (6) running on rails are mounted in bogies (4) mounted on the bottom carriage. The bogies have upward-pointing slide plates (9b) with slide surfaces paired with opposite-facing slide surfaces (9a) on each side of the vehicle's lengthwise axis and in the front and rear part of the vehicle. All or some of the slide plates can be raised and lowered in relation to the swiveled position of the jib-arm on its vertical swivel axis.
