The device for banding of loaded transporting pallet(1) has a rod-form manipulating component(7) with a grip(8) at one end and packing band clamp(9) at the other. The length of the manipulating component between the grip and clamp corresponds at least to the lateral dimensions(3) of the pallet. The manipulating component consists of telescopic tubes which are extendable as required and which by relative twisting can be brought from a clamped position into a released position.
