The vice has a pressure cylinder (1) with head part (3) having a contact aperture (6). An adjustable two-part element (8) fitted detachable into the aperture is in active contact with a projection (7) on a piston rod (2) to form a stop, which limits the opening angle of a vice arm (5) fastened pivoted to the head part. The element has an associated sensor for end position detection, and the projection also acts as transmitter for the sensor.
