PROCESS FOR PRODUCING PURIFIED ERYTHROMYCIN

A process for producing purified erythromycin from which erythromycin F has been removed. The process comprises using a combination of (i) an organic solvent and (ii) water or an aqueous solution of an inorganic substance and/or an organic substance to extract erythromycin F from erythromycin to thereby produce purified erythromycin from which erythromycin F has been removed.
