The mechanism comprises a motor driven conveyor chain with rubber or similar wipers on a beam, which moved along a guide rail over the respective glass panes such that the rubber wipers remove the dirt and snow layer downwards.Pref. the reverse motion of the beam is realised by deflection of the chain at the end of the conveyor path. To the chain and beam is coupled a coacting push-rod via rotary hinge joints.
