In the deposition of a silver-tin (Ag-Sn) alloy from an acid, cyanide-free electrolyte containing Ag ions, Sn ions and a chelant, the electrolyte also contains an aromatic compound with an aldehyde group. An independent claim is also included for this cyanide-free electrolyte for electrodeposition of Ag-Sn alloys.
