The invention concerns an installation comprising a plurality of carriages which, between a product loading station (3) and a product unloading station (15), circulates by means of a magnet conveyor whereof the emitting and driving magnetic circuits (42) are outside tunnels, successively in an intake hatch (10), a sterilising tunnel (11), a transfer hatch (12), a cooling tunnel (13) and an outlet hatch (14). The overheated water of the sterilisation tunnel (11) and the cooling water of the cooling tunnel (13) are maintained at a pressure P1 higher than the pressure prevailing in the packages contained in the carriages, during the sterilisation phase. Preferably, the sterilisation tunnel (11) and the cooling tunnel (13) form an assembly comprising an even number of superimposed sections, and the circulation of the carriages in the tunnels is ensured by magnetic linear couplings. The invention is applicable to sterilisation of products contained in flexible packages. |
