PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic control valve for an automatic transmission that can be vertically miniaturized. SOLUTION: An uppermost divided body 1 out of vertically divided bodies 1, 3, 5 is formed as a body exclusively used for the assembly of solenoid control valves so that all of the proportional solenoid control valves S1-S6 are built therein, and the respective proportional solenoid control valves S1-S6 are assembled in a horizontal direction extended along a divided face from the other divided bodies 3, 5, from the front face side of the uppermost divided body 1.
