PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an infrared light-absorbing filter having excellent near infrared light-absorbing performance, heat ray absorbability, visible light transmittance, and light resistance. SOLUTION: This organic metal complex characterized by being represented by the general formula (1) (X is S or Se; M is a metal element; the ring A and the ring B are each independently an arbitrary aromatic ring except a benzene ring, and the aromatic ring may be substituted by an arbitrary substituent; R1 to R8 are each independently H, an alkyl which may have a substituent, an aryl which may have a substituent, and aralkyl which may have a substituent, an alkoxy which may have a substituent, nitro halogeno, amino, a substituted amino or cyano), and an infrared light-absorbing filter using the same.
