[Also in Division H2] A method of making an array of contacts for use in switches comprises attaching a plurality of conductors 5 e.g. wires to a strip of insulating material 2 and deforming the conductors to form contacts 6, 7. The wires 5 may be imbedded in a strip of plastics material 2 by injection moulding or may be attached to the insulating material by pressing, riveting, clamping or by adhesive. The wires may be deformed to form a flat spring portion 6 and a dome shaped contact 7 by stamping, pressing or swaging. The contacts may be silvered. |
