PURPOSE: A digital-home automation media system is provided to be capable of maximizing the utility of a dismountable monitor by sharing the function of devices linked to the monitor through the interface and the links between the monitor and various electronic products. CONSTITUTION: The system comprises a USB(Universal Serial Bus) interface(409) and an IEEE(Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineering) 1394 interface(410) in addition to existing an image input(401), a decoder(402), an encoder(403), a monitor(404), a monitor power supply(405), a CPU(406), a memory(407) and an I/O part(408). The USB interface(409) processes and outputs composite signals and USB signals to a dismountable monitor(404), and stores input USB signals in the memory(407). The IEEE 1394 interface(410) processes and outputs IEEE 1394 signal system to the monitor, and stores input USB signals in the memory(407).
