摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance the torque of a driving motor without over-discharging a battery even if the current carried out from the battery exceeds an allowable discharge current by an increase in load in the drive of the driving motor by use of the battery. SOLUTION: The actual current Ib of the battery is compared with an allowable discharge current upper limit value K-Ibh (S5). When the actual current Ib exceeds K-Ibh, a target engine torque Tet is calculated on the basis of operating state, and a command signal corresponding to the target engine torque Tet is transmitted to an E/G-ECU for controlling the torque of an engine (S11). In the E/G-ECU, the engine 1 is driven and feedback controlled so that the engine torque is the target engine torque Tet, a generating motor directly connected to the engine 1 is operated for generation, and the generated power is supplied to the driving motor (S11). Consequently, the shortage of the battery current is covered by the power from the generating motor.
