PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a three-dimensional image photographing apparatus, capable of performing pattern detection with high resolving power, without causing wrong detection of a three-dimensional shape. SOLUTION: A stripe pattern projected onto an object 1 of photographing is photographed. A pattern-setting part 11C is determined by the number of stripes of the pattern, so that a differences (MTF value) in the luminance of photographed data falls within a prescribed range.
