Carton box having a hinged lid

The box (1) consists of rear (3), front (4) and side (5, 6) panels, closed by a hinged lid (18) with side walls (10) and a front (11) wall which is fastened to the front panel of the box before it is first opened. The side walls of the lid have inward-facing flaps (13) which are able to engage with recesses (14) in the side panels to hold the lid closed when it is re-closed after the box has been first opened by means of a tear-off strip on the lid's front wall. The box can be enclosed in thermo-shrink plastic after filling to prevent unauthorised opening.
