PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable map matching to be corrected, in the case of failure to accurately perform map matching. SOLUTION: This navigation system has a present position detecting means 91, data recording part 24, a image pickup means, intersection passage judging processing means 92 for judging whether to pass an intersection in a parallel section with a first and a second roads provided in parallel, mark recognition determining processing means 93 for determining whether a road determining mark is recognized when passing the intersection, and travel road determining processing means 94 for determining which of the first and second roads a vehicle is traveling on. Even if it fails to distinguish the first and second roads in map matching processing, map matching can be corrected in map matching- correcting processing. |
