PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical device for optical communication which has a double resin structure by the combination of a light transmitting resin and a fixed resin and which is inexpensive and easily manufactured. SOLUTION: The device is a double structure package consisting of an inner housing filled with a light transmitting resin and having a barrier wall and a hard outer-housing consisting of a fixed resin. The inner-housing reserves the light transmitting resin having high fluidity and prevents the resin from flowing to the outside. The outer-housing gives mechanical strength and tight sealing property.
