PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To collect a new useful substance capable of inhibiting a cytomegalovirus protease in a culture solution of a mold and to obtain an anti-cytomegalovirus agent comprising F-15905 as an active ingredient. SOLUTION: This new compound F-15905 is represented by the general formula I. The method for producing the compound comprises collecting the compound from a cultured product of a fungus belonging to the genus Mycena and capable of producing the compound.
