PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink composition which is excellent in light resistance and hardly undergoes color change or discoloration for a long time. SOLUTION: This ink composition contains microcapsules comprising a colorant as a core substance and wall membranes formed from a polymer compound having such a structure as to have an absorption wavelength equal to that of the colorant. Preferably, the composition also contains the colorant on the outside of the microcapsules. An example of the polymer compound has a backbone of which the structure is the same as the main part of the molecular structure of the colorant. The colorant is, e.g. an azoic compound or a quinonoid compound. An example of the polymer compound is one obtained by the polycondensation using a monomer having at least two amino or hydroxy groups. |
