SWASH PLATE TYPE COMPRESSOR AND PISTON THEREFOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve bending strength of a connecting part while minimizing a weight increase of a piston. SOLUTION: An engaging part 70 for engaging with a swash plate 60 of the piston 14 has a pair of arm parts 120 and 122 and a connecting part 124 for connecting the mutual base ends of the arm parts 120 and 122. A shaft directional rib 142 extending in the shaft direction is integrally arranged in a central part in the width direction orthogonal to the axis of a head part 72 of the piston 14 of a back face 140 of the connecting part 124. A housing groove 160 is formed in a part corresponding to the shaft directional rib 142 of an inner peripheral surface of a cylinder bore 12 to prevent the shaft directional rib 142 from interfering with the cylinder bore 12 when the piston 14 moves to the upper dead center. A shape, a dimension and the arranging number of shaft directional rib can be properly set.
